Sam, the main character. He's only six inches tall and he's gone off to college. He faces several difficulties--how does someone his size take a shower (he can't reach the knob, after all). How does he date? How does he...do the things that often come along with dating? How does he find clothes that fit him, much less that are a good relative thickness for his size? How does he use a computer? Where does he sleep? Well, he showers in the sink, with a significant amount of effort. He's found that dating isn't too difficult, if the girl's not freaked out by him, and the sex? Well, let's just say scuba gear ain't just good for the ocean. He special-orders the fabric for his clothes and has them custom made. He can type at a computer just fine, but it's kinda slow since he has to move around a lot--look at your keyboard, imagine being six inches tall, and contemplate how much you have to move to type "pale," among other examples. And he sleeps in a custom-made hammock that his dad made for him out of string. |

Zeke, Sam's roommate and best friend. No one knows if he even has eyes underneath that shag. He's a zany sort of guy. He's lived in the same town since he was born, and he was thrilled to move into the dorms. Even more so when he got a roommate he could smoke with--plus, said roommate takes up virtually no room at all, which Zeke sees as an added bonus! His interests include smoking, sleeping through class, and sleeping with hot women (a goal he doesn't often succeed in). Zeke's had quite the little past...but more about that, when we come to it. (don't you love cliffhangers in the cast bios?) |

Emma is the boys' neighbor and hang out/stoner buddy. Even though both Zeke and Sam are more than willing, Emma doesn't enjoy being a girlfriend, rather prefering to meet her, ahem, physical needs as they come up (maybe one day Zeke or Sam can get in on that!) and counting on friends for the support and friendship many girls get from a boyfriend. Emma is a psych major and happens to find the boys a fascinating case study. Emma moved from Colorado Springs, fed up with her family to the point of needing desprately to escape. She's looking for an affordable apartment, but in the meantime, she's forced to live in the dorms, with a less-than-friendly roommate, Jess. |

Jess is Emma's highstrung perfectionist roommate who had a nervous breakdown in high school that lost her the academic scholarship to Harvard, forcing her to attend a lesser college until she could work up the GPA to regain her prized school's favor. Jess is from New York City, and she definately acts used to a busy lifestyle. She refuses to let loose and is horrified at the prospect of her roommate doing drugs. If she weren't so busy trying to be perfect, she would probably have some sort of intervention. It is a common theory that part of Jess' problem is a lack of physical enjoyment for life. She's a virgin, never had a boyfriend, never been kissed. Emma has made it her goal to change this, and get her roommate laid. The other commonly accepted theory of what the stick up her ass is involves the tightness she employs in her ponytails. |

Doctor Meyers, the boys' history proffessor. Even though Zeke wants to do unspeakable things with her, he still can't bring himself to stay awake in her class. But maybe she's the lucky break Zeke needs...you never know, eh? |
